Irene Amiet
After decades working as a freelance photo-journalist and wildlife photographer on three continents and being involved in conservation projects worldwide, Irene started Wilder World in 2025 as a fundraising platform for rewilding projects in her home country, U.K.
Born in Basel, Switzerland, Irene has volunteered and worked for Rainforest Concern in Panama, The Coastal Wetland Preserve in Texas, Global Vision International in South Africa and worked as a contributing writer for various newspapers and magazines on topics spanning from art to wildlife and artisans to conservation.
Irene co-owns a fine-art photographic gallery in Clitheroe, Lancashire with her husband Duncan Phillips.
Constant Hoogstad
With over 23 years of conservation experience, Constant held key leadership roles including serving on the Fauna and Flora International Leadership team, the Endangered Wildlife Trust Executive Management team (2018-2022), chairing the UN's Convention of Migratory Species Energy Task Force (2017-2019), and the IUCN’s Cranes and Powerline Task Force (2016-2020).
Constant previously served as Board member of Free Me Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and currently serves with Mabula Private Game Reserve in South Africa. Constant’s career began in the field as a ranger and researcher, evolving into strategic conservation leadership and he currently holds the position of Head of Operations (Africa) for Fauna and Flora International in Cambridge UK.
Wayne Ellison
After almost four decades of working for a UK high street bank, Wayne "retired" and now focuses his energy on other pursuits which include trustee roles and an ambassadorial role for a leading firm of solicitors.
Fundraising challenges have seen him scale Kilimanjaro and run various marathons around the UK.
Wayne is a keen amateur photographer and supporter of a number of wildlife organisations.
